Tulane to Land Not One, But Two Presidents!!!!!

"But let's not forget the newest cast of "The Odd Couple," former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton . The Disaster Twins, who've been working to help victims of the Asian tsunami and more recently those of Hurricane Katrina, are said to be looking at giving a joint commencement address next May at Tulane University in New Orleans."

Wow that would be amazing!!
i always thought that we would get someone big.
I think that would be awesome. My only question is if underclassmen or other people (not graduates or their family) want to see them speak how would Tulane go about that? Considering that we are going to be on campus where there is less space and with past graduations graduates only had a certain amount of tickets they could give out.
I think that it will be amazing for Tulane to have two amazing people speaking at graduation, it will only help the school.
i feel like were going to have to go through a lottery to be able to get tickets, unless they pick a larger venue for this special occasion
I know that they were thinking about doing it on campus, but with about 2000 graduates and then their parents that's alot. Also if other people want to listen to the commencement (if this turns out true) I think that Ben W is right and lottery would work for underclassmen.
What about maybe trying Audubon Park?

Yeah its the OLDER Bush (the former Pres). Yeah getting George W is like getting the ex-FEMA director to speak at our graduation.... please no one would attend
first: please understand the difference between George H.W. Bush (41) and George W. Bush (43). the article is about the possibility of Bush 41 and Clinton coming, and has nothing to do with the current president.
second: all policital issues aside, you should be honored to have Bush 43 as a speaker, if he were to offer. of course, the Bush 41 / Clinton combo is much cooler. but it is a great honor to have a president speak at your commencement, regardless of your views on the administration. i think Bush 43 is a terrible president, but i would still welcome him with open arms were he to offer to speak. the only speaker i would protest at my own commencement is another Michael Lewis-esque loser.
brett you should also learn how to spell presidents.
i agree with tcsenior. even if it was George W. you should be honored that he would even consider giving the commencement at Tulane. regardless if you agree with his political views, he is still the president of our country.
I think it would be great for the school if Bush Sr. and Clinton spoke at Tulane, and would love to be present for the speaches. I might even watch Bush Jr. if he came, he is the president, even if he sucks at his job. Also, I realize this is off topic but how long should i exspect to be on a waitlist? I am 3/3 and 3/14, and have not moved in a week.
The waitlists dont move until the class starts and people realize they dont want to be in it anymore.
Ah what a refreshing memory of the liberal trash I have to go back to at Tulane.

My reference to trash was the comments like 'Bush sucks' by people who are complete morons, specifically a lot of the liberal based Tulane campus. Not the people themselves. Thanks for playing.

Just to let you know my IQ does not fall in the moron range (50-69), and secondly anyone who defines people they don’t know by their political views needs to open their mind a little. You may not like my political views, but there is no reason to insult me for them or say they are liberal trash. There is always another side to the issue and without the other side there are no checks upon what happens. And finally, if you didn’t like liberals why in the hell did you come to New Orleans and Tulane?
