Tulane Mom Blog Shut Down

I heard the administrator of the blog (whichwas so heavily promoted here) decided to shut down the site because she couldn’t take the “garbage” anymore. I can’t believe that parents could not restrain themselves from attacking each other and the creator of the site. I’m so proud that Tulane students don’t need to lower themselves to that level. Maybe a few mothers can take a lesson from their kids.

PS- Don’t bring that crap over here.

Another example of people only wanting to hear one side of the story. You only want to hear the good, not the bad. You want to hear want you want to hear, not what the reality is, because that may be negative and insult you sensibilities.

There is a place to go for both sides, and now Brett even admits it. I'll remain open as long as Tulane remains closed mouth and literally, even if people personally insult me. If you want to stop watching the Disney Channel, come over to:

We don't know that it was parents who were posting the stuff that was so absurd. In fact, since ns has reopened the site by invitation, it seems clear that she is prepared to welcome parents to it. Assumptions are always dangerous. I don't even assume that some people who say they are parents are really parents. Seems unlikely from some of what they say and the language with which they say it.

I think that it is sad that parents and students are divided on these issues. We need to keep in mind that we are all trying to reach a common goal-education and a great college experience. Whether you are the student or the parent I think that is what we are striving toward. Naturally we all have concerns. Let's stop the name calling and put our heads together to solve the problems (and there are many) and more foward in our lives.

I have my doubts that the "parents" blogging garbage on the moms site were parents. One in fact was a free lance writer promoting her own article. Unfortunately, as with most poisons, it only takes a drop or two to do the damage.

I admit that I am just a dad, and not supposed to get these emotional things, but it seems pretty reasonable to me that you have a Tulane Student Blog that is intended to support students, a Tulane Moms Blog v 2.0 that is intended to support Moms, and a TulaneRealityCheck Blog that is intended to uncover the real meaning of this disaster. So, where is the problem? The 'concerned' dads are happy(?) working all day and enjoying football and a few brews on the weekends. The legal beagles have their law School Blog. The Biz Kids several Blogs. Then there is the Daily Jolt. Why not let it rest?
