An amazing deal!

We have gotten some great offers on this site, but this one is something you all will really love:

www.goclothing.com is offering 35% off ALL of their merchandise to Tulane students who are displaced by the hurricane. You can pick any thing you want (except sale items or close out items) and get 35% off your entire order.

Go Clothing is ready to take orders NOW! In order to get the discount use the coupon code "Tulane" and then provide your @tulane.edu email address in the customer notes section. Make sure you provide your other email address so they can confirm your order. Note: you must have an@tulane.edu email address to prove you are a student. Yes, they know the Tulane email addresses don't work yet. Enjoy, and make sure to thank them!

Honestly, this post exposes someone's true intent...

Let's just say that Tulane students who have been displaced have been offered everything from free clothing, housing, even tuition... and 35% off retail is, frankly, in line with Labor Day specials. It may be good business sense, but it is not benevolent. Especially when you consider that you have "sold" the privacy of your Tulane e-mail address.

Hey, its a better deal than I could get, no one I know offered this kind of deal for labor day. And they aren't going to do anything with you email address, it's just so random people do not start taking advantage of the offer.

If you dont like it, don't buy it. But don't put down friends of mine who are doing this for people who want it.

Thanks Brett. All we are trying to do is help anyway we can. This is our best offer we have ever given to the public. Clothing margins, shipping fees and customer service cuts our margins down so 35% is a stretch.

If anyone is enrolling somewhere else for the semester and needs transportation, StudentUniverse.com is offering airline tickets for 15% off to Tulane students:

yeah, hmmmm if you can afford jeans that cost $200 YOU DON'T NEED A DISCOUNT! Give me a break. I understand everyone is effected but come on people.

To whoever left that $200 jean comment...know your school and realize that some of us are on full scholarships and actually struggling because of this.

Honestly, this is a company that my sister works with. She is making no money off of it and neither is the retailer. Some people buy designer clothes some people don't. Don't think I didnt try to contact other clothing companies that my family works with to get discounts, but this is the only one who offered anyting. And trust me, I really wanted to get someone affordable to help replace both our clothes and the clothes people affected hurricane victims, but since my sister works in the designer industry, this is what she was able to secure. So if you don't like it, don't buy it. But please don't be so insulting.

Just kidding, sorry, I thought the $200 jean thing was a comment on tulane students in general but then I went to the website. It was a very thoughtful offer and I appreciate it very much, but perhaps target or marshalls will be more appropriate for building up left behind clothes. But thank you brett, I realize that everyone is doing what they can and that was very kind of your sister and the company.

maybe some of us left EVERYTHING we own behind, and our parents are'nt jumping at the chance to buy all new clothing, when what I won is prolly just fine, and will be a little musty. This is wonderful that people are taking the chance to give back on all sorts of levels. We should be appreciative of this offer.

these clothes are expensive. Fill in your wardrobe at H&M and donate the difference to the Red Cross if you can afford it.

This is actually a great deal. I've purchased from this site before and they have great customer service. For those who wear designer clothing, these are great bargains. And I would assume that those who are not on scholarships etc at tulane actually do wear this stuff. it's popular nowdays. so for those, it's a very good deal. it's very nice of the company to do that.

something to post: i heard OLD NAVY and sister companies, the Gap and Banana Republic are giving a 50% discount to victims of Katrina. You just need some form of ID to prove you are from the area. a Tulane ID should work.

you don't have to buy the designer stuff. but it's nice that it's out there for those who want it. leave it at that.

remember that a lot of us will probably return to our full wardrobes. if you live in uptown and your clothes aren't on the floor there's a very good chance your stuff is fine. if not, there are some great t-shirts coming out in support of tulane and n.o. for a lot less than the stuff on this site. it seems kind of weird for the guy running this blog to promote a company affiliated with his family...

wow - goclothing.com offered those who want to purchase their clothes a discount. if you don't want to buy them, then don't - it's not hurting anyone that they offered it. and to the last person that commented about "the guy running this blog to promote a company affiliated with his family" - it's his blog, he started it and ALL he tried to do, was inform people of something. this is ridiculous - i know i am being a hypocrite, but use this site for something more productive then a ridiculous argument, if you're not interested in something someone has posted, don't read it - but don't shit on a kid for trying.
